Windthrow (2022-2025)

Windthrow is a photographic series documenting fallen trees and their remnants. Inspired by the aftermath of atmospheric rivers that hit the Bay Area in 2022, the images reflect on the preciousness of a tree’s lifespan, and nature’s destruction of itself in the wake of intensified weather events.
