Family Time (title subject to change)
Family Time is an ongoing photographic series begun in 2019. The series observes the relationship between myself and the paternal side of my family based in New Hampshire. This body of work explores my connection to my family through the lens of a camera in these intimate settings. In my adult years I’ve had a harder time connecting with my family; a disconnection that comes commonly with growing older and becoming your own person. Over the last few years I’ve started taken photos of my family to as not only a way to connect, but as a way to further understand and examine our relationships to one another. This series documents the evolution of a family; the shifting of dynamics, and the narratives that develop as time passes.
