Madison Blanchard (b. 2000) is a photographer and curator based in San Francisco, CA. Through documentarian-style imagery, Madison’s practice explores themes of complex familial relationships, and the fragility of nature. Though her topics vary, she harnesses the preciousness of a fleeting moment throughout her work. Photographing with film, and printing in the darkroom is an integral step to her practice, focussing on the importance of slowing down and physically connecting to each print. Madison holds a BFA in Studio Art from San Francisco State University, and displays her work in local group exhibitions. Since 2024 she has worked as an Art Curator for Woods Beer and Wine Co. where she puts on shows for Bay Area artists working across mediums. In 2024 she founded Lucky Star Magazine, an independent print publication featuring lens-based artists from around the world.
