Windthrow
In 2022 I began photographing fallen trees. After a series of atmospheric rivers hit the Bay Area I started noticing more and more around the parks, and found an interest in the preciousness of their lifespans. Trees are around for hundreds of years before and after us, witnessing a history of their own. Over the years I’ve continued to photograph each fallen tree, or their remnants, I come across as an honor to this history. The haunting nature of their destroyed forms echoes a ….
